Prof. Ph.D. Marcin Majka graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, Poland. During 1997-2003 he worked in laboratories in the United States, at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and at the University of Louisville.

He has been conducting research on stem cells for therapeutic use since 1997. Moreover, Professor Majka has used induced pluripotent stem cells in his research since 2008.

Professor Marcin Majka created one of the first GMP manufacturing facilities for ATMP (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product) products in Poland at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. He managed to successfully combine research and real-life world application with participation in 11 clinical experiments where stem cell based products were administered to patients, of which 5 were registered clinical trials. Professor’s Majka ATMP manufacturing facility produced more than 600 investigational products for patients.

Prof. Ph.D. Marcin Majka published more than 180 scientific publications with 8000 citations and the Hirsch Index of 47.

Prof. Majka won multiple awards, including scholarship of the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists, award of the Polish Prime Minister for the best habilitation thesis, team award of the Polish Minister of Health for outstanding scientific achievements and many others.

Prof. Majka is the inventor of VET CELL TECH, its scientific lead and Chief Executive Officer.

Marcin Liwoch has 25+ years of experience in managing innovative companies and projects of a complex nature, including executive management of companies with +400 employees.

Marcin obtained his Master of Engineering in Biotechnology and supplemented it with post-graduate studies in Financial Analysis. In 2002 he founded Aluron, which in a few years has become an industry leader in aluminum systems in carpentry both in Poland and internationally. For several years he was Aluron’s board member and co-owner. He was pivotal to formulating long-term business strategy of the group and overseeing day-to-day operations.

He served also as a Production Director at a food plant, was vice-president of the management board at an investment firm where he was responsible for creating the company’s credit policy, shaping relationships with financing institutions, supervising accounting and budgeting of investment projects. Marcin oversaw restructuring of a few companies, which included a comprehensive due diligence processes.

Marcin’s key expertise is strategic planning, which includes developing and monitoring budgets, analyzing financial reports and making data-driven decisions, as well as identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving operational efficiency.

Konrad has +10 years of experience, that includes managerial positions in pharmaceutical companies in France, Belgium and USA.

He graduated from Sorbonne University in Paris with specialization in Economics and holds an MBA title. He worked in the pharma industry where he was involved in opening a new R&D center for GSK Vaccines in Rockville, Maryland, as well as optimizing clean room strategy in GSK Vaccines headquarters in Wavre, Belgium. Konrad co-founded a machine learning startup in Poland with solutions used by major retailers in the USA and Fortune 500 companies. It was subsequently sold to a strategic investor, a PE firm.

Konrad is responsible for operations as well as strategic partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, academic centers, investors, technology partners and suppliers.

Piotr is a renowned Polish dermatologist, who combines professional experience as clinician with research at the Department of Experimental Dermatology and Cosmetology in Medical College at Jagiellonian University.

He served as an R&D consultant and medical expert in numerous healthcare and biotech projects in Poland. As a founder and board member of one of the leading Dermatological Societies in Poland, he organized one of the biggest medical conferences in the field of antiaging medicine in Eastern Europe. For several years he has been investing in numerous Polish biotechs at the early stages of development, which developed successfully and are currently listed on the Polish Stock Exchange.

Piotr’s expertise is in translational medicine, acquiring and sustaining strong relationships with academia, practitioners, veterinarians and key opinion leaders.
